THERE'S BEEN A SEISMIC SHIFT IN THE PREMISE VS. CLOUD PHONE MARKETPLACE.

Business communications preferences have dramatically shifted in recent years from traditional premise-based ones to cloud-based UCaaS ones; but the cloud will never be right for every business. We understand that and that's why Clarktel provides our clients with a line of innovative premise phone systems from our partner, ESI (esi).  You, your employees and customers rely on your communications infrastructure to be reliable, efficient, flexible and cost-effective; and that's why we like the eSIP Evolution Series of business phone systems from (esi) Estech Systems.

Not only have consumer preferences changed, but many premise phone manufactures have existed the market; among them:  NEC, Panasonic, Toshiba, Samsung, and Comdial.  That's why the Clarktel team sought out an established partner committed to a long-term strategy servicing and innovating in the premise market.  (esi) was the perfect fit!  Established in 1987, (esi) has sold over 400,000 phone systems and three million phones.  Better yet, they have a history of innovation, having pioneered the first-ever combined phone and voicemail system and they hold ten or more U.S. Patents for their revolutionary ideas.

While you may not hear their name as much as some competitors, like NEC or Intermedia, they've stood toe-to-toe for more than three decades with other premise manufacturers because they know how to deliver technology that helps customers, like you, to thrive. If you're looking for a communication platform from a partner that understands your unique needs, (esi) is a name you need to get to know.

THE VALUE OF STAYING PREMISED-BASED FOR YOUR BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS.

If you think that keeping your business phone communications out-of-the-cloud makes smart business sense, you’re not alone.  A recent article from nojitter.com references The Eastern Management Group’s report, entitled:  Unified Communications Market Analysis - Strategic Marketing and Distribution Strategies for 2024-2028,” sought to better understand the current state of the premise-based market.

Some of the observations from the research, include:

  • Premise PBX’s account for 50% of the Unified Communications install base.

  • There’s an estimated 20+ million new PBX seats to be deployed in 2024; across over 360,000 new system installs.

  • New Premise systems will still make up 4 out of every 10 new phone system choices in 2024.

The decision to stay out-of-the-cloud is concentrated in industries like: energy, banking, education and others who need a secure communications infrastructure that retains control, stability and flexibility.

What do some of the industry numbers look like for the premise install base?

  • Schools 84%

  • Banks 72%

  • Government 86%

  • Energy 87%

And even if you are not in one of those industries, a premise system may be right for you if you need:

  • Data Protection

  • Long-Term Cost Saving over Cloud’s Subscription Fees per user.

  • Compliance

  • Customization

  • Security and Control

If you need a premise-based communications infrastructure to be reliable, efficient, flexible and cost-effective, the eSIP Evolution Series is for you.

How to Choose the Right Business Telecom System

As a business owner, the telecommunications system you choose could make or break you. If your system and service are not the quality you need, you could lose sales due to dropped calls or missed voicemails. Understandably, choosing a commercial telecom system could prove to be a daunting task and we are here to help!

Firstly, take a look at your current telecom system and remember why you chose it in the first place. Try to make a pros and cons list to decide in what ways it worked for you and your business and in what ways it is hindering your success. What are its advantages and disadvantages? Consider how important things like scalability, security, and flexibility are to you and your needs. Next, create a list, or perhaps several. Record the number of connections you need and what types of features each of the connections need. Note that not every single connection will necessarily need all the same features; some may need more higher-end add-ons while others may just need a basic connection. Think thoroughly about the diverse nature of work that your employees are required to do. You could save by creating a strategy that includes having connections with more basic features.
